THINGS TO DO AT HUFFMAN
Whether you're looking for a walk in the woods or full-day trek, Huffman Creek is surrounded by incredible adventure. Enjoy miles of private hiking right onsite and explore our waterfalls, a plane crash, and even a Bigfoot siting or two. For guided hiking, we recommend reaching out to Kim at God's Gardens 828.479.1255 for a truly unique experience with a naturalist. Need more details, reach out and allow us to help you plan your hiking excursion.
Just minutes from the "The #1 Most Beautiful Lake in the USA," don't forget to plan a day out on the water. Explore the pristine shores of Lake Santeetlah, Paddle down the Cheoah River, or Tube the Nantahala! Pack your swimsuit, there's so much to explore. For a full-service marina, we recommend Santeetlah Marina, for white water rafting, check out Nantahala Outdoor Center, and for tubing, head to Deep Creek just outside of Bryson City.
Sink into a front porch rocking chair, nap in a stream-side hammock, or cuddle up in your lush accommodations. You're on vacation - Relax a bit. For those new to this concept, you'll need a few days to disengage from the beeps, buzzes, and craziness of everyday life. Grab a book from your cabin, head outside, and allow the healing powers of rest and relaxation to kick in.

If you truly want to get away from it all and relax in a place of incredible beauty, this is the place for you! The lovely lodge is next to a roaring mountain river on a gorgeous piece of lushly wooded property. We loved sitting out on the covered porch in the comfortable rocking chairs listening to nothing but the flowing waters and birdsongs. Several hummingbirds visited the filled feeder, and we saw so many butterflies! The house was immaculate, the kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfy. We loved it!
